Ball Toss

Learning Reinforcement

and Review Activity

Class Size:  Any size

Materials Needed:  Soft ball or small soft, stuffed toy.  Set of review questions covering the material presented.

Time required:  Determined by the facilitator – can last for two or three minutes or longer, if desired.

Instructions:

The facilitator tosses a soft ball (or other small soft object) randomly to one member of the class.  The class can remain seated during the activity.  The learner is then asked a question over the material just covered.

The participant then randomly tosses the ball to another class member until all the questions are answered. Each learner can opt to “pass” on at least one question.  This activity can be done even if the classroom space is limited.  It can also be used in larger groups of 20 to 30 people.
